Inspiring Director of Children and Youth Ministry
Currently serving as the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at the Unitarian Church of Barnstable, Dawn plays a pivotal role in shaping the annual vision for the program. She not only plans and leads engaging programs for children and youth but also creates original curriculum and delivers thought-provoking sermons for all ages. Dawn fosters a sense of community, organizes intergenerational services, and actively contributes to social justice initiatives within the congregation.
Interests, Projects and Past Experiences:
Beyond her professional roles, Dawn serves as the executive producer of an in-process documentary on the YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalist) Program. She also leads a virtual women's full moon gathering focused on spirituality and the arts, showcasing her commitment to fostering connections through meaningful experiences.
In her role as Unitarian Universalist High School Youth Group Advisor, Dawn collaborated with peers to plan activities, organize worship services, and facilitate open communication with parents. She also served as a Worship Associate and Church School Teacher at First Parish Church in Duxbury, where she contributed to the spiritual growth of the community.
