Lindsay Caddle LaPointe
Lindsay Caddle LaPointe embodies a beautiful blend of artistic expression and technological finesse. Her journey began with a passion for dance that led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance/Performance from Roger Williams University. Fueling her curiosity, she delved deeper into the fusion of dance and technology, earning a master's degree from The Ohio State University's Department of Dance.
In 2010, Lindsay's creative spirit birthed Linden Tree Productions [LTP], providing invaluable video support to fellow dancers and artists. Through LTP, Lindsay lent her expertise to renowned institutions and artists like The Boston Foundation Live Arts Grant recipients, The Landmarks Orchestra, and the vibrant spaces of Boston Center for the Arts, among others. Notably, LTP's documentary, "Making Mill Town," captivated audiences on PBS Maine and earned accolades, receiving a gold award from Spotlight Documentary Film Awards and recognition for editing excellence at the Utah Dance Film Festival.
Teaching became another conduit for Lindsay's passion, nurturing aspiring dancers at The Ohio State University, Ohio University, Muskingum University, and Regis College. Currently, she passes on her knowledge on dance and film classes at Dean College, empowering the next generation of artistic minds.
Amidst her professional endeavors, Lindsay gracefully weaves herself into the fabric of performance as a dedicated collaborator of Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion. Together, they've graced iconic New England venues like The Isadora Stewart Gardner Museum, The Rose Kennedy Greenway, and The Institute for Contemporary Arts, infusing these spaces with the magic of multigenerational dance.
Lindsay's heart lies not just in grand performances but in fostering community through movement. She extends her expertise beyond the stage, offering inclusive, community-based movement classes. In these classes, she creates a sanctuary for exploration, where participants can safely embrace dance within a nurturing, connected environment.
